Dead Orbs foi formada em 2021 por Hermilton Morbivus (vocal e guitarra) na cidade de Santa Maria da Vitória, Bahia, com uma sonoridade lúgubre, arrastada e melodias taciturnas, invocando influências de bandas como Samael, Celtic Frost, Katatonia, Candlemass, Darkthrone e ainda a essência Death Metal de Entombed, Morbid Angel e Dissection. Suas letras abordam o sofrimento, a morte e a distopia através de mórbidas metáforas, definindo-a assim como uma Black Doom Band. Junto a H. Morbivus, a banda contava com Nikely Valak (guitarra), Bruno Lucena (bateria) e Sipriano Magus (baixo). Porém, no ano de 2023, Junior Rocha assumiu o baixo no lugar de S. Magus e lançaram o single The Darken. Depois de um ano, Junior Rocha se desligou da banda e Wagner Coven assumiu as quatro cordas, já fazendo parte da gravação do debut álbum auto-intitulado Dead Orbs. Em meados de 2024, prestes ao lançamento oficial do debut, a banda passou por mais uma alteração: Fábio Nosferatus assumiu a guitarra no lugar de N. Valak, fechando assim o atual line-up: Hermilton Morbivus (Vocal/Guitarra); Fábio Nosferatus (Guitarra); Vagner Coven (Baixo) e Bruno Lucena (Bateria).

Dead Orbs was formed in 2021 by Hermilton Morbivus (vocals and guitar) in the city of Santa Maria da Vitória, Brazil, with a lugubrious and dragging sound, marked by taciturn melodies and influences from bands such as Samael, Celtic Frost, Katatonia, Candlemass, Darkthrone, as well as the Death Metal essence of Entombed, Morbid Angel, and Dissection. Their lyrics address suffering, death, and dystopia through morbid metaphors, thus defining the band as a Black Doom Band. Alongside H. Morbivus, the band originally included Nikely Valak (guitar), Bruno Lucena (drums), and Sipriano Magus (bass). However, in 2023, Junior Rocha took over the bass in place of S. Magus, and they released the single The Darken. After a year, Junior Rocha left the band, and Wagner Coven took on the four strings, already participating in the recording of the self-titled debut album Dead Orbs. In mid-2024, just before the official release of the debut, the band went through another change: Fábio Nosferatus took over the guitar in place of N. Valak, thus closing the current lineup: Hermilton Morbivus (Vocals/Guitar); Fábio Nosferatus (Guitar); Vagner Coven (Bass); and Bruno Lucena (Drums).
