Gutted Souls é uma banda de Death Metal do Rio de Janeiro formada em 2004, após o fim do projeto Necropedophile. O grupo consolidou sua identidade ao longo dos anos com letras que abordam psicopatia, manipulação midiática, corrupção da ciência e religião, além de uma fase mais recente marcada por temáticas esotéricas e sombrias. A banda lançou até hoje 1 EP, 1 single e 1 álbum, sendo o mais recente The Illusion of Freedom (2017), trabalho que recebeu ampla aclamação da crítica especializada. Atualmente, o grupo finaliza seu segundo full-length, Portals to Chaosium, marcando definitivamente a nova fase de um death metal mais sombrio e brutal. A formação atual conta com Iron (vocais), Alexandre Carreiro (lead guitar), Bruno Tavares (guitarra), Wellington Ferrari (baixo) e Braulio Drumond (bateria).

Gutted Souls is a Death Metal band from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, formed in 2004 after the end of the project Necropedophile. Over the years, the group has consolidated its identity with lyrics addressing psychopathy, media manipulation, the corruption of science and religion, as well as a more recent phase marked by esoteric and dark themes. So far, the band has released 1 EP, 1 single, and 1 full-length album, the most recent being The Illusion of Freedom (2017), a work that received wide acclaim from the specialized press. Currently, the group is finalizing its second full-length, Portals to Chaosium, definitively marking a new phase of darker and more brutal death metal.
